What is the principle of thermal camera?

All objects emit infrared energy, commonly referred to as a heat signature. An infrared camera, also known as a thermal imager, captures and quantifies this infrared energy emitted by objects. The camera then translates this data into an electronic image, displaying the apparent surface temperature of the object under examination.
